A tranquil wood and wildlife pond managed by Scotland forestry commission.  If you  like walking the dogs way from the crowds, with beautiful woodland scenery  and varied wildlife in the woods and around the pond , then this is the place for you.   There are marked trails around the woods and you can walk along side  Castle Stewart Burn and  look for the Salmon on the  little bridge that goes across the burn. There is a circular path that goes around the pond, it is so peaceful, a lovely place to take a picnic and a book.  If you like taking photos of scenic views there are some fab views from the bridge as you cross the pond. For those whom enjoy fishing, yes something for you as well but I am not sure if you need a licence to fish?  Great place to walk the dogs off the lead and if your dog likes swimming then the burn is quite clean
